A Billing Support Specialist is responsible for managing billing processes, resolving billing inquiries or issues, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions for clients. They play a crucial role in maintaining positive client relationships and ensuring smooth financial operations within the organization.

Position Requirements

  • Experience in customer service is required, with a proven track record of delivering excellent service and effectively handling customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required to ensure clear and effective communication with clients and team members.
  • The ability and desire to handle phone calls for extended periods of time is necessary to address client inquiries and provide satisfactory resolutions.
  • Strong math skills are beneficial to excel in this role, as accuracy in billing processes and calculations is crucial.
  • Bilingual skills in languages such as Spanish, Creole, French, or Mandarin are a plus, as they enable effective communication with clients who prefer or require assistance in their native language.
  • Proficiency in using payment processing tools and software, such as QuickBooks, Square, and/or Stripe, is required to efficiently manage invoicing, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Previous experience working in a billing role or familiarity with billing processes and procedures is strongly preferred, as it allows for a smoother transition into the responsibilities of the position.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment are necessary to ensure accurate and timely billing operations.
